Global Rebranding Initiative & Website Redesign

Elliott Group designs, manufactures and services turbomachinery for companies around the world. As a long term client, Elliott returned to our team in 2013 to complete an entire website update redesign to match their global growth over the years.   

Revamping the Brand

Mood board w/ photography, color scheme and brand attributes

To refresh the brand, we went back to the basics with a strategic mood board in order to define the design strategy and direction. Fusing professional photography and possible color schemes, we were able to reinvigorate the aesthetic brand while preserving the values that make Elliott Group different.

The resulting design is more modern and professional, and moreover it communicates the “Global Presence” that Elliott wanted. It highlights the impressive photography and draws attention to the products and services where Elliott Group aimed to increase revenue while simultaneously leveraging the rich company history.

Multi Language Support

With a global presence comes a global audience. The new site needed to speak to every user around the world. A new multi-language website was crucial, so our developers built the site to translate into multiple languages.

Interactive Map

The old contact form did not provide optimal usability or information that would be appropriate for a global audience. Therefore, we built a custom, intuitive contact page template that utilizes on-screen segmentation to increase proper targeting. The interactive map interface allows for users to click on a desired map location and arrive at a page that includes contact information for distinct categories. Contact forms are then delivered to appropriate locations and sectors, cutting down on unnecessary internal communication. Elliott employees can then search through submission archives in the site manager by keyword and date range.

Responsive

It was natural that the new site redesign would include a fully responsive update to enhance the user experience on any size screen. A responsive redesign would optimize load speed and content accessibility for users on any size screen. Additionally, a responsive redesign meant that the client would not need to manage a completely separate mobile website.

Conclusion

The resulting website is a solution that Elliott Group can promote to their world-wide audience with the confidence that the website directly answers the needs of every kind of site visitor. Custom functionality simplifies internal communication as well as the site user-experience, and an updated design speaks to values of the growing brand.
