A Fresh Design & Social Media Strategy

Living Treasures Wild Animal Park brings interactive animal experiences to the next level. Unlike traditional zoos, Living Treasures enables park-goers to get up close and personal with some of the most fascinating species. Their old website lacked the high energy and engaging identity evocative of the park experience. Blue Archer executed a digital brand overhaul, leaving them with a website that would appeal to every target user. Their new, completely custom website fuses both park locations into one cohesive brand experience.

Mood Boards

After our initial project strategy, we determined that the new website needed to be colorful and youthful enough to engage the young demographic but comprehensive enough to answer all of a prospective parent or chaperone’s questions.


We began to find the balance between thorough text content and large bold graphics by creating visual mood boards. Mood board exploration helps our team to communicate design-directions to clients before the comprehensive layout design phase begins.

Site Maps & Wireframes

To simplify the user-flow to crucial destinations throughout the website, our User Experience experts built strategic information architecture that addresses the user-needs of every kind of site user – from children, to adults and out-of-towners to Pittsburgh natives.

Interactive Experience

To fully immerse ourselves in the Living Treasures experience, our marketing team headed out to explore the park in-person. Doing so helped us to understand exactly the kind of adventure we needed to translate online.To emulate the interactive experience of the animal parks, we created an interactive space on the website to allow users to contribute to a collection of images. Strategic messaging encourages site users to share their own Living treasures experience by uploading their photos directly to the site or by hashtagging their photos with the #LivingTreasures. Having park-goers contribute images of their own memories builds the website as an extension of the physical park experience.

Interactive Experience


The final website highlights personal park experiences and highlights field trips, the traveling zoos, and new attractions at the parks. Showcasing Animals of the Month and building a virtual education center for kids makes the website an appealing online destination for youth to explore when they are not at the parks, themselves. Our content management system allows the Living Treasures website to grow with the parks with new content and website functionality.
