Bankson Engineers, Inc is a long-time client of Blue Archer, so when they approached us for a website refresh, we were excited to bring updated design principles to their site.
Challenge
The Bankson Engineers business was well known for potable water engineering, but they wanted their new website to better communicate their diverse set of engineering solutions including wastewater, municipal, site development, and more. Additionally, Bankson Engineers wanted to properly highlight the expertise of their in-house staff, which puts them at an advantage over larger, national brands that rely on staff located outside the Pittsburgh market.
Solution
The new website is built on a rapid development framework. The full-stack code framework is made for responsive web design and enables Bankson Engineers to have a smooth, intuitive CMS to update the website ongoing. The design differentiates the business from other local competitors, and custom functionality including a project portfolio and staff module enable Bankson Engineer staff to easily update database content ongoing.
Design
Using the Bankson Engineering logo as our inspiration, our designers incorporated rectangular shapes and layers throughout the design. Pops of gold, including bold hover states, help to differentiate Bankson Engineering from other competitor websites in the industry.
Website Functionality Improvements
One of the biggest upgrades for their new website, aside from the modern design, was the new project portfolio database. The project portfolio includes project images; client, cost, and completion date stats, and a description overview. Website visitors can explore all projects or choose to view by project type including water distribution systems, sanitary sewer collection, streets & bridges, and more. Another improvement for the website included a staff page where website visitors can explore team photos and bios.
Conclusion
The final website sets Bankson Engineers apart from local competitors for both prospective clients as well as prospective team members. We look forward to supporting the team with updates and refreshes in the future.
