Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc.

Digital Strategy, Custom Website Design

Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc (BPMI) is a prime contractor for the U.S. Navy’s Nuclear Propulsion program that develops and procures nuclear components that are used to power aircraft carriers and submarines.  They needed a website to attract the highest caliber career candidates.

The Challenge

The career-focused website needed to enable users to find out more about the BPMI culture and team. BPMI is large enough to offer competitive pay and benefits but small enough that team members donít just feel like a number. One of the biggest goals for the new career website was to showcase this and help BPMI differentiate itself from bigger competitors.

The Solution

Our team built a website that showcases a diverse, fast-paced work-place that offers competitive salary and benefits to driven professionals. Site visitors can view career, internship and co-op opportunities, explore company culture, and view upcoming recruiting and career events. The website also includes a comprehensive overview of the company makeup including operations and equipment departments. Once applicants secure an interview, they can return to the site to view interview FAQs, security clearance information, and other helpful resources.

Design & Functionality

BPMI wanted a site that would position the brand as professional, welcoming, and diverse. Focusing on the established red, our designers integrated oval iconography from the logo to brand the entire site. We focused on diverse, engaging imagery of existing and prospective team members to highlight BPMIís commitment to a supportive work environment. Custom calendar and events templates showcase upcoming recruiting events for interested applicants.

The team at BPMI now has an intuitive CMS to make text and image updates on their own, but we look forward to supporting the team with ongoing functionality enhancements and improvements over time.
