GGC National Contractors

Custom Website Design & Development

GGC National Contractors came to Blue Archer at a turning point in their business. In response to a shift in the industry, this full-service construction company was broadening their focus from just retail to include multi-family and commercial buildings as well.

Challenge

As a full-service construction company, GGC National Contractors needed a website that communicated their expertise from preconstruction and consulting through design-build. Up until Covid-19, GGC was known for their retail division. However, the retail industry was proving to be volatile and unpredictable in the new landscape. They needed to broaden and diversify their client portfolio in order to stabilize and grow the business.

Solution

In order to showcase differentiators and highlight experience across several industries, we built a comprehensive project portfolio module that enables users to filter by industry including multifamily, office & technology, commercial, automotive, healthcare, and more. In order to communicate the team’s deep and longstanding expertise in the industry, we built a streamlined staff page complete with images and bios.

Strategy

The strategy phase included a comprehensive interview and discussion, goal and objective development, information architecture creation, and wireframe designs. As with any brand new website, content creation from scratch was a challenge. Therefore, we designed a sitemap that could easily grow and develop with the brand overtime. While it was important to have specific industry pages on the site, we decided that for this iteration of the website we would have the portfolio pages double as industry landing pages. Once the team is ready to create additional content for each industry, the GGC team can easily add new pages to the site using the intuitive CMS.

Design

GGC Contractors was interested in developing a new color palette for the brand, so the beginning stage of our design process focused heavily on color direction and iteration. We developed several options that included greens, blues, tan, and other neutral colors. Ultimately, we chose a strong forest green and warm, light tan color. Serif font headings give GGC the professional look and feel they were going for while bright, high-contrast imagery makes for an eye-catching design. The design pulls from the company logo shape for subtle and cohesive branding across the entire website.

Conclusion

Our Blue Archer team had a great time working through the project with the enthusiastic GGC team members. We can’t wait to see their website grow and evolve alongside their business for years to come.
