National Metal Stampings is a family-owned and operated short run stamping facility that has been in business since 1979. Orders range from 50 pieces to 100,000+ pieces, so the business needed a website that could effectively communicate the wide range of services and capabilities.
Challenge
The existing website was outdated in both technology and design. The new website needed to accurately reflect National Metal Stampings’ offerings, drive new traffic, increase lead generation, and enhance their standing in the marketplace. Our team needed to work through the information hierarchy and website content to create an intuitive sitemap and build a website that would grow with them for many years.
Solution
The resulting website includes an immersive video background, an interactive product carousel, modern iconography, and professional image selection. It’s highly secure, user-friendly, and ensures National Metal Stampings has full control over their website content post-launch.
Strategy
During the comprehensive strategy phase we did a deep dive on National Metal Stamping’s services and markets. We formulated key project objectives, analyzed website visitor demographics, and conducted a competitor analysis. With these findings as our foundation, we designed wireframes, built a robust sitemap, determined supporting functionality, and outlined a plan for the design.
Design
As a manufacturing business in the industrial space, National Metal Stampings needed a website that would stand out among their outdated competitors. We opted for a modern, masculine look and feel. The website color scheme leans on National Metal Stampings’ branded blue, navy, and gray color scheme and finds a balance between dark gray backgrounds and alternating white space. Website users get a fully immersive look at the manufacturing process through a looping background video. A products carousel, industry iconography, and a quick contact form ensure users have opportunities to engage and learn more based on their unique needs.
