Tri Tool Technologies is a global leader in the design of high-performance machine tools, serving the oil and gas, power generation, deep water offshore, government, aerospace industries, and more. They came to Blue Archer ready to expand their footprint within both existing and new vertical markets.
Equipped with fresh leadership, Tri Tool managed to expand into new offerings including tool and equipment rental, training, and services. They were looking to target new markets, and reinvent their messaging, marketing, and positioning. Tri Toolís offerings are positioned differently for each vertical, posing a unique marketing challenge for the website. For example, within the Government vertical, Tri Toolís custom solutions are most important, while Tri Toolís standard products are of most value to the Oil & Gas industry. Additionally, within each offering, the mix of products and services is different for each vertical. The new website needed to properly support these unique industry site users.
We built a site information architecture that enables users to search a product catalog, custom solutions, rentals, and services. For industry users looking to view products and services through the lens of their own market challenges, a robust industry section enables users to view contextual clients, offerings, case studies, news, and resources.
Our team started with a comprehensive strategy where we explored business and project objectives, industry verticals, target audience trajectory, positioning, decision makers, content and design direction, and more. A market matrix helped to define user profiles, expectations and pain points, and positioning insights. Our team created detailed wire-frames for the necessary layouts and modules on the site including case studies, product catalog pages, industry landing pages, executive leadership, and blog. During the strategy, the need for a logo refresh to accommodate the name change from Tri Tool to Tri Tool Technologies was also established.

We designed a bold, modern site for Tri Tool Technologies that includes branded iconography, strong typography, an intuitive visual hierarchy, and transition creative hover states. The homepage narrative clearly communicates industries and products and services upfront. If users continue to scroll they are met with an experience section that positions Tri Tool Technologies as a manufacturing leader through thoughtful messaging, contextual testimonials, and impressive stats. We conclude with a press and news feed to ensure the homepage continuously feeds fresh content to returning users.

The product catalog database encourages users to search and filter by category and model. Once website users reach a product details page, they can explore product images, descriptions, supporting documents, optional accessories, and technical specifications. Users can choose to rent, purchase, or request a custom machine. We integrated with a third-party platform for a seamless e-commerce experience.
