Good morning Pittsburgh!  Lots of things have been going on in the tech industry this week, from a hacking scandal that has put the iCloud in a vulnerable position, to Samsung giving their insight on the future of our homes. 

 I believe it is safe to say that content curators pretty much rule the web.  In the words of Steven Rosenbaum, author of Curation Nation, “content curators are the new super heroes of the web.”  

Anyone in the industry can benefit from the slew of social media conferences happening this year. You could be an a student building your resume or a professional staying up-to-date on trends. We will review a schedule for the rest of the year including date, location, and a link. 

The ALS ice bucket challenge raised $5.5 million in donations since July 29, compared with $32,000 in the same time period last year. Needless to say, pouring water on our heads went viral to support a great cause. The internet came together to chip in once again.
